AMOS designed, computed and produced the MGSE used during the test campaign of the MARS EXPRESS S/C.
SEVIRI Targets Positioning Device
Design and manufacturing of a vacuum compatible X-Y positioning system for SEVIRI.
This instrumented platform is dedicated to position and move with a submicron accuracy optical targets in the field of view of the SEVIRI instrument (METEOSAT Second Generation) in order to calibrate its transfer function. This equipment was designed to operate under high vacuum (10-6 mbar) within the CSL space simulator.

SILEX Optical Head Support
The SILEX Optical Head Support (OH support) was a high tech equipment to be used in class 100 clean room, under vacuum conditions and with thermal constraints. This equipment was dedicated to the verification of the performances and to the adjustment of the OH during the tests in the FOCAL 5 facility in CSL.

VEGETATION Integration Trolley
Design and manufacture of a MGSE to integrate one of the SPOT 4 instruments. It consists of a motorised trolley to realize the final integration of the VEGETATION payload on board the SPOT platform.

Pleiades is a two-spacecraft constellation of CNES (Space Agency of France) whose main goal is to observe the Earth. In the scope of this project, AMOS was responsible for the design and the realisation of nine Mechanical Ground Support Equipments, allowing assembly, integration and test operations on the spacecrafts.
These equipments represent complex mechanical devices, also designed to work in harsh environments, especially regarding cleanliness and vacuum. One can find :
• Lifting equipments, which allow the handling of the different elements of the spacecrafts in stable and secure conditions
• Equipment (wagon,…) designed to optimise assembly and integration phases of the spacecrafts
• Test equipments (vibration or optical structures,…)
AMOS produced the design, manufacturing and on-site installation of the Cryogenic Test Facility that has been used to test the PLANCK S/C in CSL (Centre Spatial de Liège) premises.
This work was part of the ESA Herschel/Planck Project with ALCATEL ALENIA SPACE as prime contractor.
This Cryogenic Facility is composed of a square support whose aim was to maintain the complete S/C with its axis horizontal inside the vacuum vessel.
The S/C was surrounded by a large thermal tent composed of thermal panels (double skin Nitrogen - Helium), with an octagon shape of 4 200 mm diameter and 4 000 mm length.
