MAST Vacuum Vessel
AMOS has manufactured a vacuum vessel for UKAEA, in the frame of the MAST (Mega Amp Spherical Tokamak) project.
This UHV (Ultra High Vacuum) is a 4.5 m diameter and 4 m height vessel.
It works under UHV, at 10-8 mbar. It is made of 304LN stainless steel and weighs about 26 tons.
The vessel has been manufactured following high quality British Standards 5500.
