FULLY AUTOMATIZED STORING INSTALLATION FOR COILS

Realization of a fully automatized storing installation for 1400 coils of 30 tons, and all its peripheral equipment.

The storing building dimensions are : length : 150m, height : 30m, width : 10m A giant handling robot moves along the length of this building. The dimensions of this robot are :

height :36m, length : 11m , width : 3m.
Weight of the robot : 100 tons
Speed : 150m/min
Power : 500 KW.

This robot (see picture) is managed by a microprocessor directly connected to the main computer of the factory.
The mechanical structure of the robot consists of tubes and is tooled on 24 m length. The structure was designed with the help of CAD EUCLID, and calculated by finite element method.

All the buildings are over-pressurized and the humidity and temperature are controlled.
