REALISATION OF DOUBLE GLASS POLISHING MACHINESThese high precision welded and machined structures allow by rotational and reciprocation motions to polish the glass coming directly out of the furnace continously. The machining precision is identical to the one of a machine tool. The mass of the moving body is 50 T (18 reciprocating motions/min).
Each polishing machine is made of 2000 high precision tooled pieces including :
reduction gear assembly, grinded grooved shaft, hydraulical system ensuring a constant pressure on the polished glass, encoder, hydraulical sliding seat, ...These polishing machines were calculated and designed by our R & D department, and realized in our machine shop. The erection in Japan has been carried out by Ateliers de la Meuse.
