BUILDING FACILITIES

AMOS : new building situated in Research Park of the University of Liège, equipped with a clean room, welding facilities, work shops with hydrometry and temperature control, polishing facilities in clean room.

AMOS has an optical workshop for mirror fabrication up to 1.8 m diameter and the necessary metrology equipment for optics qualifacation. A coating chamber for pieces up to 400 mm diameter.

AMOS has received an important government investment to develop a new large optical workshop (for mirror up to 3 m diameter, possibility to increase to 3.5 m).

The facilities at AMOS and Ateliers de la Meuse (the AMOS mechanical workshops) comprise more than 45 pieces of tooling equipment and are capable of manufacturing a wide range of large mechanical pieces both welded and machined.
