MOTA is an OGSE including a three-mirror anastigmat telescope whose focal length and distortion were characterized at AMOS.
It is positioned in front of an MTG (Meteosat Third Generation) instrument to be tested. The MOTA put on an optical bench in clean room class ISO5. The system can work in the air or under vacuum. The MOTA allows to simulate objects at infinite and to characterize optical and radiometric performances of MTG instrument.
The MOTA will be used to perform:
- KEF/LSF/MTF measurements
- Registration and alignment tests
- Straylight tests
- Radiometric tests (in the VNIR range)
