Key responsibilities
- Understand and integrate the various technical constraints of a project and translate them into a feasible product that meets the desired functions.
- Design: axes / “vacuum” applications / space applications / mirror applications
- Management of the product tree in collaboration with the project’s ELM engineer
- Understand manufacturing processes to determine the most efficient way of producing the designed part, and adapt the part to manufacturing possibilities.
- Produce drawing files containing the technical information necessary and sufficient for manufacturing the product (workshop, subcontractor).
- Draw up price requests for mechanical parts
- Report on work progress (ETC) at Capa-Charge meetings.
- Report technical difficulties encountered, contradictory requirements, and make suggestions.
Your job
- Be the guarantor of the mechanical design and technical feasibility of the products entrusted.
- Provide the expected deliverables (design – plan files) while ensuring that the tools put in place in the design office are applied (rules, checklist, etc.).
- Contribute to the improvements and development of the Design Office.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in 3D design and drawing software, ideally CATIA V5.
- Mastery of surface treatments.
- Drawing / Functional dimensioning (tolerances) and dimensional budgeting.
- Ability to identify critical dimensions to be verified by metrology.
- Design and implement layouts.
- Know how to manage assemblies in Catia.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Bonus: English: Level A2.
