In order to strengthen its teams, AMOS is looking for an Optical Systems Engineer

 

What is expected from you

As an Optical Systems Engineer, you will guarantee that the optical performances of the system meet the customer requirements. In particular, you will be responsible for:

• Building the optical architecture of the systems.
• Establishing and maintaining the technical budgets of the performances of the system, with the support of tolerancing analyses.
• Preparing the requirements for the optical components.
• Defining the Assembly, Integration and Verification (AIV) activities for the optical system and preparing the associated Test Plan.
• Coordinating the technical work in a multi-disciplinary project team.
• Ensuring the technical interface with the customers and the suppliers.
• Coordinating the AIV activities with participation to the optical alignment and test sequences.
• Consolidating the technical budgets with results coming from the different technical teams of the project.
• Supporting the preparation of technical proposals for new project.
• Formalizing and improving the methods in the Optical Systems division.

 

Experiences

• You hold a Master/PhD in Aerospace or Physics Engineering, or
• You hold a PhD in Physics.
• You have at least 5 years’ experience as an optical engineer in multidisciplinary projects.
• You have good knowledge of the following software: Matlab/Pyhton, MS Office and Zemax/OpticStudio.
• Experience with optical measurements (interferometry, 3D CMM, laser tracker) and work in clean room is an advantage.
• You have an analytical mind.
• You are rigorous, reliable and you have good writing skills (reports/ technical documents).
• You have a sense of responsibilities (guaranteeing the final performances of the system).
• You are a team player and can take the lead on the team.
• You know how to manage your time and your priorities.
• You are curious for any intellectual challenges (technical multidisciplinary).
• You are fluent in English
